Glory of volunteer fire fighting!

My hobby is volunteer fire fighting and I’ve been keen to it now for almost 7 years, and I enjoy it with all of my heart. I’m really dedicated to my hobby and in my thoughts it’s one of the noblest hobbies I know, correct me if I’m wrong!
Fire fighting has always been my interest because when I was 5 years old, I already wanted to be a fire fighter. But when I tried to start my hobby, I was told that you must be at least ten years old to start fire fighting the required age for volunteer fire fighting is ten. When I started volunteer fire fighting I was introduced to all the new rules that are involved in this new hobby (professional secrecy about all fire alarms and rescue operations I heard at the fire house.) Trainers found me considerably “better” than others who trained with me and asked me to join the junior competition team and I obviously couldn’t refuse! We trained 3 times per week for junior competitions and Finnish junior championships. That time we came 9th. Two years ago our (newer) youth team came 5th and I was the team leader.
For now I’ve been training with the alarm department and it’s close to how professional fire fighters are training! I’m waiting to get to extinguish my first fire! I’m keen in fire fighting and the other volunteers are like brothers to me. I’m not going to try and recruit you to be volunteer fire fighter but like an advertisement for common good, from my point of view:
I hope that teens would be more into fire fighting because more than 60% of Finnish fire departments and fire fighters are purely voluntary and in whole of Finland average garrison/department is dropping so we need new fire fighters ASAP! You'll learn lots of important skills like extinguishing small fires and some first-aid! Of course you’ll get bunch on new great friends, your social skills will grow when you co-operate with other fire man and other authorities! (And of course chicks)

That’s all for now PK37 out.

Pickpocket in Paris

In this blog I’m going to tell you about my trip to Paris 7 years ago, even though I was just a small kid back then. We were in a metro from Eiffel tower to our hotel to go and pick our money for Disneyland. When we boarded the metro a pickpocket came and opened my mom’s bag and just grabbed something from there. We realized it after we got out of the metro that she had been pickpocketed and straight away she started to check what was missing and apocalypse fell upon us! The thief had taken our Disneyland tickets!! Boy that I was mad.. Never the less we went to our hotel and reported about this criminality that had happened to us and we got new tickets to Disneyland for free. I’m still really glad that the thief didn’t catch her wallet! Even after this accident I still think that the holiday in Paris was awesome and I’d like to go to Paris again someday.

Youth and how I experience it

What is youth for teenagers here in Finland? Is it just trying to be cool and being a rebel for everybody? I think that there aren't so much of teen hooligan s around (1/ 50) and afterall adults treat everysingle teen like they were some sort of plague. Don't adults realize that they've been young once and it's something that never happens again so they should treat us more like adults, not like young kids.

That was how I think about youth. Universally today youth is freedom to do everything you want, go and come how you want, choose your own group of people. Let's compare two countries: Finland and Singapore. In Finland teens aged sixteen mostly hang around with their friends having fun just like Singaporean teens do. There

s a differences between Finnish and Singaporean teens in how they spend their time. While Finnish teens hang around cities and usually smoke or drink in Singapore teens go to movies or play games together for instance.

For me the youth means that you’re allowed to go and come have private space for your own thoughts and wishes. My teenage is completely different from my parents; My dad was born in 1938 so he didn’t have a teenage like we do today. My mom was born in the 50’s and she had a some sort of teenage. They’re banning almost everything they can think. If I get a bad grade from a exam they give me some sort of penalty. That is somehow unfair so after they give me penalty I do something that makes them wonder that was it fair to give him a penalty even when he tried his best. Teenage is time of life when you have the guts to do everything that comes to your mind. I love it and I wish that everybody could be teen for longer time. Celebrate the youth when your young!
